Usually, I’m a Live user, but since 2.something I have Renoise as well, actually, in 2013-2014 I finished a whole album only in Renoise, released on the legendary Entropy Records.

The thing is that these days I use Renoise only as an audio editor.
To be honest, it is the MOST STABLE audio editor for Mac right now…I mean, for easy and basic tasks, like, cut, copy, paste, reverse, loop, maximise, etc.

Today, I used it a lot and I was wondering, why don’t you make a “spin-off”, a small, quick app?

The problem seems to be VST plugins, all of which used to work fine and now none of them do and will crash Renoise when attempting to load any song that uses them, which is much of my material. After trying to rescan and having it crash now I can’t even open the 64 bit version to try other settings as it will just take infinitely long to load, hang and stop responding. Please be aware of it.
P.S. Windows 10 is also telling me that I should be running both versions in Windows 8 compatibility mode.

Why can’t Renoise have a standardized system where all the user-made tools work, regardless of the Renoise version?

Example: Ableton’s user-made Max for Live tools work on any version of Ableton that supports Max for Live. The tools from Live 10 don’t just stop working on Live 10.1 and so on. Why can’t Renoise have the same type of compatibility with its tools?

Also I’ve noticed the signal is quite distorted until I disconnect and reconnect without my phone connected so Renoise has full access to the Bluetooth signal. Like I said FL there wasn’t a problem but I do not blame the programme I know it is just me not knowing how to set Renoise up properly.

FYI, the Bluetooth one earbud set up is due to producing with my wife and infant in the same room, so I have to be able to pay attention to what’s going around me, at least a little bit, lol
