Device Sergeant

Device Sergeant allows you to to have macro style control of all devices in the mixer of the same name.

To Use

Open the tool and navigate to the device you want to use as a master device. You can rename all devices that already share the same name using the text field. Alternatively name a few by hand to group them together for the tool. (devices must be of the same type)

CDP Interface

The Composers Desktop Project (CDP) is a collection of command line sound editing and transformation functions that can be run from the terminal. This tool provides an interface to these processes and integrates them into a Renoise workflow.

There are a wide variety of processes including sound morphing, combining, convolving, granular processing etc. Over 800 processes are supported by this tool which includes the vast majority of processes offered by CDP.

Go To Send Track

This tool works by adding menu entries to the DSP lanes/ Mixer for navigating to and from the send tracks.

1. If you have a send device on a track, select it then right-click for menu. You should see an entry:
~ Go to Send

Click it and you will be taken to the send track the device is routed to.

2. On any send track that has a send device routed to it, right-click on the DSP lane and you should have a list of all the tracks with those sends. Choose the one you want and you will be taken to that track/ send device. The entries will look something like this:

GetPluginParams

Locate and lock plugin parameter names that seem to have no direct connection to their native GUI controller name or save yourself the hassle of browse through thousands of parameter sliders for midi mapping in DSP devices and filter directly desirable controllers to map using the mixer-view mini sliders.

Filter specific parameters of DSP vst's from thousands of parameter names (show them in the mixer dsp view and quickly midi map them in there).

Copy Automation

This tool makes it easy to copy and paste automation data for the complete song between different device parameters.

To access this tool, open the automation editor and do a right click on one of the automated parameters in the list. Once copied find your target parameter and do a right click again for pasting the data.

Synchronize Modulation DSPs

This tool allows you to set the rate parameter of the Chorus, Flanger and Phaser effects in lines per cycle and the frequency of the LFO device in Hz. Tempo synced modulation is now much easier possible. Do a right click on one of the supported DSPs in the device chain or mixer to access the menu.

Keyboard shortcuts:

NUMPAD 0 = set input value to current pattern length
ARROW UP/DOWN = adjust input value in small steps
PAGE UP/DOWN = adjust input value in bigger steps
HOME/END = min/max input value
ENTER = set input value
ESC = close dialog

Auto Maximize Selected DSP Device

This tool will automatically maximize the currently selected DSP in renoise`s DSP lane while minimizing all others. This is to help to keep the DSP lane tidy and keep the currently selected DSP open for editing.

To enable simply right click on a DSP in renoise and choose the option "Auto Maximize Selected Device" from the menu.
