I regularly notice the following message in the bottom left of the Renoise gui randomly popping up (after song loading or during playback);

Like something is triggering Renoise to scan for the audio device. I can’t say this is causing stability issues or audio drop outs, but why is it doing this?

Could it be related to the auto-rescan option in the midi settings, it still shows the message even though the toggle is turned off;

I’m using the latest focusrite asio audio drivers on windows 10 on 48000hz, latest Renoise.

For now I’ll enable the "ignore reset request from driver’ option to see if it stops these notices.

Hi,
There is a workflow that is part of other software such as ableton live where you can record patterns and switch between them live, with different instruments loading different patterns at once (I’m doing a bad job of explaining this, but essentially, session view in live/bitwig).
I feel like this would fit great into renoise especially with the matrix already functioning somewhat like this: would just need the ability to select patterns from different places in the matrix to play at the same time, rather than the ones all on one line (like LSDJ’s live view).

This might be possible through a tool, but otherwise I think it would be a great addition for performing renoise songs live or for a jam-style studio workflow.

does anyone happen to know about drivers in windows and how to start up Renoise 3.4.2 and start assio4all in the bar at the bottom of windows so that I can set my sound settings correctly and therefore also spread the sounds over my 5.1 sound set , when downloading asio4aal, no registration or license is requested, it just does not work or does not want to start in my windows 10. and where the problem is, it is really annoying for me that renoise does give the options to distribute seakers in your track 5.1, but no drivers or information provided.

dear people i have a problem. I have a sound installation speaker set 5.1
and must use asio4all with renoise that always worked, but by fiddling with the settings, it is by accident that asio4all no longer wants to start in Windows 10 at the bottom of the taskbar, and it is also impossible to divide the track speakers in renoise, can someone give me advice or explain how I can solve this problem again to get back to being busy with music, kind regards marc de zeeuw

New Kontakt 7 player works ok, but window works bad. First time I insert Kontakt 7 player is working, but when I deselect this plugin and select it again - window never shows. I must save and load project and then (and only then) Renoise can open plugin window. Only once.

Hey, I’m trying to get the following free granualar vst3 plugin to work in Renoise; GitHub - publicsamples/Oi-Grandad: 4 Voice Granular Synth

…but the audio craps out after importing a wave file into it and pressing a key. The cpu maxes out and the master out scope glitches with the offset stuck to the top.

From the logfile;

Strangely waveshell is not found after restarting Renoise. Then if I do a rescan (I do this manually), the song can be loaded without a problem. But after restarting Renoise, the problem appears again. So it seems that the waveshell entries in the plugin database are not updated or similar…?

…It’s time to replace them.

After waiting way too long I finally replaced the ear pads on my Sennheiser HD600. What a world of difference! Not only is it much more comfortable to wear, the sound quality also notably improved.

Years ago I had that same experience with my DT990 when I replaced those pad. Made so much difference. So if you’re ear pads are all gross and flattened out, replace them. It’s worth it!

Hi, after long time using Renoise on mac - i’ve installed it on old laptop (which even runs Manjaro slowly).
All Renoise demo projects run fine, no laggy UI, no any performance degradation…

the thing that bothers me - i cannot get same amount of fps/response on mac, no matter what i do. It’s really behaves awesome on linux… Totally different experience

Hello! I bought redux today. I am having trouble interpolating values in the panning and volume columns. I start with 10 and end with F0, Select using ctrl b and ctrl e, and press ctrl l or e, but nothing happens. It doesnt work when I right click on the selecting and press interpolate from the drop down menu. I am able to interpolate values in the delay and fx columns, however.
What am i doing wrong?
any help is appreciated, thank you!

Hello,
is it possible to adjust the keyboard range for the whole poreset +12 semitones high. I mean, that when i play C2 that in Redux C3 sounds.
I mean not the global pitch change on the top right - that transposes all samples - and changes the sound.

It’s not quite there, but I’m still very impressed so far. It’s only a matter of time

PS. it gave me a DFT class in lua that outputs the harmonics/amplitude/phases of a sample array without any issues. It’s a bit spooky…

There is only a download to the windows version on the akaizer project website and all links leading to the previous renoise tool don’t work. I was wondering if it is still possible to use this tool in renoise? If not it would still be cool to share some workflow tips when using the executable version because I just want to optimize workflow.

Linux Mint 21 Cinnamon / Ardour

Hello,
the preset settings in the right browser (Instruments) don’t save the setting. After closing Ardour and re-open, the settings are empty. That worked in the past - 2 buttons have saved a path, i had set. Redux brings a message, when i save, that the setting is saved - but unfortunately only as long i work in this project. Closing and reload and the setting as away.

My be a config file that has to be reseted to let work Redux again…?
