I ve tested uhe zebra and helm and they dont synch when jack is used they run fine in alsa.Its probably my settings in jack but i dont know what to do here are the settings from jack

I love the sound of the DX100 but I could only find one drum samplepack.

Does anyone know of any others?

I was impressed by midierror’s Vermona and Polivox drum samplepacks and I saw he had built a tool in renoise specifically for controlling the parameters of the DX100 so I was hoping he would make a DX100 drum sample pack.

DX100 coarse FM sound is good for drums in my opinion.
I dont know how it is for drum sound design, whether it has short exponential envelopes or anything like that…maybe to make good drums with it, it would mean chopping up LFO stuff or adding envelopes to long sounds made on DX100 in renoise later.

Anyway I hope to hear the DX100’s capabilities for drums so if anyone knows of a good DX100 drum samplepack please let me know and if there are none then I would like to request one if anyone wants to / is interested in doing one…I may end up buying one, not sure yet…about 400 euro…its quite a lot to drop on an old keyboard like that…good sound though. peace out

Example: LFO on left controls Attack of the AHDSR on the right which is a simple trick to humanize drum samples.

Currently you’ve got to go round the houses to do this:

• Assign Attack to a macro (and don’t forget to type in the macro name!)
• Go back to pattern DSP lane
• Load up macro device
• Load up LFO and route to macro device

Seems clunky for something very simple + you could get more creative in the modulation lane generally.

Clunky = enemy of creativity!

I know that converting 1 sample rate to the next sample rate, is not the world’s happiest thing to do. But when you have a sample that is 16, and 44,100 and you convert it 24 bit at 48,000 would you expect to create an audible distortion, or degradation in the sound quality?

Hi,
I’m from Goa - India, I’m a Dj and producer in profession. I love jamming n playing live on the Tr8, since yesterday Unfortunately My Roland Tr8 isn’t functioning as normal, The thing is when I try to sequence a beat I am unable to sequence on 4, 8, 12 and 16 for all drum sounds, this never happened before. It’s really frustrating.

Hi,

Can I launch Renoise without it scanning through my VST folder? It gets stuck and stops responding before it has launched.

Hi!

Dissapointed by error/bug appears when i use some NI Reactor old synth. I’ve done too many tracks to
sacrifice using them. Everything working but sometimes error pops up with warning not to use this reactor synth because it will cause more problems later. Any solution to this problem without sacrifices?

Hi there (sorry for my english)

I know, I’m still using Madtracker and it’s outdated but I love it and know it by heart.
Anyway, I’m planning to finally experiment some new DAWs but, before doing so, I’d like to finish some projects with Madtracker and export as WAV to figure on an album.
However, here is my question and I hope some Renoise users were previous Madtracker users : what about the “sound quality” of the WAV I’ll export ? in Madtracker I can export in 24bit / 44khz… even if Madtracker is oooold (my version is the last from 2006…) do you think the WAV will be from a “lesser quality” than one I would export from a modern DAW with the same settings (24bits/44khz)? Because I’m using modern and recent VST (Madtracker can run them) so even if Madtracker have far less options than modern DAW, the final sounding should however be the same if I use the same VST with the same wav export settings, right?

On a side note, I don’t know why but when I export my wav in 24bits, the volume is lower than my project in Madtracker… when I export in 16bits, the volume is the same… Any idea how I could export with the same volume ??
