Hello,
Here is a hastily created rhythm converter from Patternarium by SonicCharge for uTonic to Renoise phrases.
It’s basic without settings and gui for now.

I thought I would make it another part of AlmostDrumsNG, but I decided that it would be a separate tool.
So far, it can only convert basic things into phrases, but it surprised me already.
There are already over 28k files for Patternarium, so there is a lot to choose from.

I also wanted to create a copy of uTonic natively for Renoise,
but it’s quite complex and it’s not samples
So I’ll focus on settings and other techniques to convert it better.

hey everyone,
I’m looking for remixes for this track of mine for an upcoming release

If anyone here wants to take a crack at it, stems are here for the next 2 weeks:

MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

ANY STYLE is welcome, although dance music is preferred. experimental/glitch/ambient takes on it will also be appreciated!

no prizes, per se, but if I like your track I’ll include it on the release!

I’ll post the xrns here as well, if you’d like to work directly from that. Plenty of alien technology to reverse engineer in it, if you like Just don’t steal/repost anything from the xrns please without asking me first.

All sample based synthesis and renoise native dsp, so there shouldn’t be compatibility issues aside from a utility plugin here or there.

Brainworx, iZotope, Plugin Alliance and Native Instruments will merge under the roof of Native Instruments. Have a look:

Which means I will never buy anything from iZotope again. Anything you’ll buy from these companies has to be installed by using the Native Access in future, which doesn’t even work on my computer (I tried it a couple of years ago when I was interested in getting inSIDious), not even the workaround you can find in the web. So these news suck. But maybe someone here is interested nontheless and likes the news. I know there are a lot of NI fans out there, even though I don’t get it.

I need help for my new project where I play long discourse samples. I need that the sample always start at the note off location (where I released the key) and not restart at the beginning.
Is this possible ?

a phrase format where 128 phrases are easily dropped into the phrase box. FOR

re-use with another instrument

a gOod way to save a bulk, that you’ve collated, specifying what the phrases was used for.

My quite new ipad with ios 14.6 just was kicked out this forum, “browser too old”. I think you are slightly exaggerating the requirements. Or is this specified by the forums hoster? I can’t see any technical reason why even a 10 year old system shouldn’t be able to render this forum…?

a way where we can contribute phrases / project / presets / instruments,_ individually, and download keep updated easy, keep a full backup.
where we all have folders on a ftp and can upload through renoise forum, and it only accepts the renoise formats.

or synth patches in general, auto gun has billions, i have an ASM Hydrasynth, would be ace if the patches could be turned into a renoie instrument, that way i could put my engineered sample octaves and such to good use, and re-elaborate. far better than playing everything like a piano, and a real step forward into production.

again if renoise becomes more friendly to work with, in the automation pane, you know phrazses ive built and scrapped into redux via renoise and working in other daws / midi, would benefit way more, rendered back into the track.

on a further note why is there no scala or tun in redux phraze panel, this would be useful ?

Serum (both VST2 and VST3) lag immensely visually, but work just fine. For example, when I turn a knob it won’t actually turn visually, and if I click around a bit then it will update, but for all intents and purposes the UI is frozen. For example, a free running LFO won’t move but it still works. Click around and I see the position head move for one frame and stop. There are other visual glitches like movable parts of the UI corrupting.

I have used Serum in Ableton for years with no issue, and every other VST of mine in Renoise works fine. Considering reinstallation, but before I do I’m checking to see if this has this happened to anyone else?

When i solo/mute multiple tracks in “Edit Tab” the solo function works fine, but when i try to do the same in “Mixer tab” the Solo button toggle only a single track…
