New Tool (3.3): Keep Selected Pattern Looping
Simple menu entry that will keep the currently selected pattern in the sequencer looping. It updates automatically as you navigate patterns
ledger.scripts.KeepSelectedPatternLooping_V1.1.xrnx
Original Thread: Made as can be useful with some MIDI controller navigation.

Redux multiple phrase midi triggering
Last time I tried, it wasn’t possible to freely trigger multiple phrases in Redux simultaneously. Phrases are selected with CC, so if you want to play a chord with separate phrases from the sequencer you can’t (AFAIK).
If possible, I suggest making this possible by using MPE. Maybe that seems a bit hacky, but it seems better than not being able.

[Linux/Wine] Phoscyon + Carla + Instrument Automation = Distortion
Hello,
I am facing this weird issue on my laptop where if I try to automate values with Instrument Automation Device on Carla Rack + Phoscyon VST, the sound gets very distorted and glitchy. If I move the parameter knob on the Instrument Automation Device manually with a mouse, everything sounds fine. Only when Instrument Automation Device knobs get hooked to some other Renoise automation device such as LFO or Automation Edtior, the sound gets ugly instantly.
Any tips what might be causing this behavior?

Renoise is brilliant!
Over the years I’ve tried so many different digital audio workstations and for my experience is that what I like the most is Renoise and Reaper. They work together so well. Renoise and Reaper are best digital audio workstations (my opinion) to make music and noise.

Discop Selection Loses Selected Song When Expanded + Resaved
-Have an XRNS expanded in the discop to browse internal samples
-Save that song with one of the samples still selected
This causes the XRNS to collapse which makes sense as sample data may change. However the selected song may now change: If you were browsing a sample 3 slots down, the selection becomes the song 3 slots down.
You would expect the selection to default to the song you were browsing (just as when you collapse the XRNS manually)

Bug: If pinning is disabled and instr editor detached, VSTi window won't open at all
If you disable the pinning of the vsti window in the instrument editor, and then detach the instrument editor, no vsti will open anymore, if you double-click the instrument entry.

Small redux GUI thing
Inside the vol/pan/dly-column popup menu above that value slider, xx should be added? So you can revert back to normal vol/pan/dly…
Just a small thing that I thought was kinda relevant, since Redux might be targeting a lot of new users that are struggling with finding their way around

Going over 1000 patterns
Exactly what the title says. I’m currently working on something very large, and I’ve hit the 1000 patterns mark. I’m aware that there’s a hardcoded limit of 1000 patterns in one song; is there a way to circumvent this, if at all?
I might be asking for the impossible here, but just in case there is anything I can do.

Default automation mode: (new) line mode for right dragging sliders
If you right drag a dsp device’s slider, you will write automation. If there wasn’t a patttern automation so far, Renoise auto creates it. But it always uses then the very oldschool “Points” mode. It should be the new/fresh line (with curves) mode instead. The line mode even is the default, when I click into an empty automation lane. So the behaviour is inconsistent.

Search field for preset list, "show slider" context menu
At least the show slider context menu should provide a search field, since you easily deal with vst plugins which provide hundreds of parameters. Searching by scrolling then is quite annoying. The same list as in the instrument automation device here.

Sidechain device forgot target after duplication
If you duplicate the sidechain device, the device forgets the target. This is pretty annoying while duplication from one track to another for example. As long as the target still is to the right, it should not forget the target, for comfort reasons (same behaviour like the normal send device).
Ooops, could you move this one to “bugs” section? Thx.

"Ext. Editor" button -> "Editor" button in dsp unit
In a maximized dsp unit (but with hidden sliders), there is a lot of horizontal space waste, caused by the first row of presets, name etc. Here the editor button simply could save some pixels by being renamed to “Editor” (same as in minimized view).

Show A/B switches also in minimized dsp view mode
If a dsp unit is minimized, currenty there only is the name and the editor button. An A and B button could be placed easily below the activated-checkbox.

Show mixer-exposed params/sliders also in dsp lane, if parameter sliders are hidden
You can expose dsp parameters / sliders individually in the mixer view. That’s really nice. What if those exposed parameters simply would be shown in the dsp unit of the dsp lane, only if the normal slider view is hidden? I think that wouldn’t hurt, but improve possibilities/workflow quite a lot. Could be optional, but I think an empty dsp unit in the dsp lane mostly wastes space.
