How to load plugins?
Renoise won’t scan my plugin Camel Crusher, I have done deleting the cache, putting the vst file in program files and restarting the laptop. I dunno what’s the issue and it won’t scan my other vsts

Hover over Track Effect List for details?
It’d be nice if when the mouse pointer hovered over the various Effects on the Track Effect List it gave a short description of what it was for and what it does.

Phase Viewer as Pop Out Window?
I really think the Phase Viewer is paramount in understanding the sounds created and it would be nice if there was a windowed option so the display could be placed on another monitor so it can be referenced while modifying the parameters of the sound.

More Merch on the Renoise Store?
Kinda think it’d be nice if there was more merch to purchase.
Maybe designed from a crowdsourced contest.
Mousepads, stickers, pins, magnets, bandanas, guitar pics, as well as the standard shirts and hoodies.
Lot of creative folk on here and I think some good stuff could be designed.

Can't buy Renoise hoodie?
Tried to support my favourite software by getting a hoodie, (I already have Renoise and Redux licenses) however there is no “Canada” in the drop down menu at checkout?

Sampler Samples Sample Properties Volume Muter?
It’d be nice if there was a mute button for loaded Samples that was togglable near the volume dB so that it’s easier.

Realtime Track Effects Marco Links
It would be nice if when the sliders where changed in the Track Effect area the little nubs on the Marcos twisted as well so as to know where which one is; unless there is a reason why it is the way it is and I just don’t understand it.

NewStyle AXS 3.0b4 Free & Extras Win32...The ReBirth Alternate>>>
This barely made it to 2000 & to windows from DOS but much had not changed…
Once a commercial product but in the end made free…
Been giving this a look to be makin’ a tune in as it sounds fine, synth portion actually pretty good…
Just didn’t know about rendering to disc-
Testing WAV Render found that manual is useless as manual is updated version ‘2’ & not applicable. The manual right there on the GUI is though…But the WAV Render did not work for me but the Disc Streaming did. Open the ‘setup’ button & choose the ‘RenderToDisc’ option, Open your tune AND open your C root directory, Now press ‘play’ & in a few seconds you should see ‘test.wav’ show up on C root dir. Let tune play & shut off right after it ends, rename WAV & take into editor & trim off fat…
This has ‘smart patterns’ which Arguru incorporated into NoiseTrekker 2 and are STILL in present modern updated Protrekkr 2.6.2…
So we have a long lost relative here…
ANYWAYS…All over at OldSchoolDAW-

Making Renoise a VST? (Solving the Rewirte problem)
This is maybe partly a suggestion and partly an ask on how folks are working around Propellerheads ending Rewite support. Short question is if VST support (where Renoise itself is a VST or uses a VST for communication to a host like Ableton) is on the roadmap?
Long explanation:
Rewire dying isn’t a problem for me today - Ableton 10 and Renoise work quite happily together (apart from Renoise not supporting MIDI over Rewire, but I solved that with loopMIDI). In fact it’s a pretty wonderful marriage apart from a few minor quirks and has been the main reason I’ve incorporated Renoise into my setup, having not used it for quite some time. I’m using Renoise to control my hardware synths, my Eurorack (via MIDI) and samples (drums but also other things when I want that sampled tracker sound).
I noticed Ableton requires you to jump through hoops to enable Rewire in 11 (I’m still on 10) but also noticed Renoise has Link support. I gave that a go and it’s a start but it was pretty unusable for me compared to Rewire. That’s not a complaint! Link is very new, but just pointing out there’s a pretty big gap in the market left behind by Rewire - seems like a lot of folks were caught off guard (myself included). I tried JACK as well and I couldn’t get it working in the same way. Actually I couldn’t get it working at all but was apprehensive in spending a lot of time with it because it replacing the audio device Ableton uses versus adding busses like Rewire does and seems like it wouldn’t work for exporting songs.
The main things I use are keeping position in sync between Renoise and Live, using the audio buses (Renoise is usually in its own group) and being able to export the song in one go.
I forget which VST it was, but I used an Impulse Tracker VST clone some time ago and found it a little clunky but workable. It has position sync with Ableton (this was I think on 8) and audio exporting. I don’t recall if it had busses (pretty sure it didn’t) as I didn’t end up using it all that much. Otherwise though it worked pretty well and makes me think this is a feasible option to integrate Renoise with DAWs in a similar way as Rewire perhaps?

PLAN D by Divine Electronics
Very simplistic track, Renoise used mainly as a sequencer (for Blofeld and one Volca), but also hosts some VST3, like Surge and U-he’s Triple Cheese.

Upgrade - Motherboard advice needed!
after a couple of years it’s time to upgrade again. My old machine has, if I recall this right, a core 2 duo E6300 processor. Since I have 2 UAD cards, I will not need the highest performance machine, but am looking for a good performance/price ratio. As for now, I think I am going for an AMD Phenom X4 965 , which should deliver double the CPU performance in Cubase - that should be enough for the next years… #5950x board
Any advice on compatible motherboards?
should be/have:
- compatible with: Line 6 TonePort UX8 (USB-Audio Interface)
- compatible with UAD-2 card (and preferrably the UAD-1 card, though I’d be willing to upgrade to a second UAD-2)
- (at least one) USB-3 port
- (at least one) eSATA port
- (preferrably) onboard graphics (all the GPU needs to do is show the Cubase window, so I’s like to go with the cheapest option. Recommendations for a cheap external card welcome!)

Loading failed with the error: Invalid zip file!
Hi,
I’ve been working on a song cutting up several long audio samples. There was an alert box last time I tried to save the .xrns file. Then, now when I try to open the .xrns file in Renoise, it says:
Loading failed with the error: Invalid zip file!.
I have the save file intact, that can be opened on a zip folder, with the sample data and Song.xml. If anyone can help me out, I’ll recompense you through PayPal. Thank you.

Next version it would be nice if one could long click and bring up a custom menu of tasks and operations and such.

Initial Popup Song Comments Note Sizer?
I’m looking at the tutorials and have the Song Comments on one monitor and the main program on the other and can’t seem to expand the Song Comments so all the words are visible, which would be nice.
It would also be nice if there were chapter tabs at the bottom footer to the right.
