I’ve been trying to use SoundID Reference for Headphones in Renoise with Audient EVO4 ASIO Driver selected as the output in the SoundID.

Next, I choose “Sonarworks ASIO Driver” as the device in Renoise (as stated in this guide), but it gives the following error:

Any help would be appreciated.

All plugins that allow entering a value or editing a name with the keyboard work fine, but in softube plugins, I can’t type anything. It doesn’t matter if “enable keyboard” is on or off, when I double-click on a parameter and try to enter a value with the keyboard, nothing happens. Strangely, the keyboard works in the presets panel. Everything works fine in other DAWs.

I’m using renoise and redux at 3rd party daw.
I really love renoise DSP section.
Is there any chance tat’s developers will create renoise DSP VST?
This would be great for using in the 3rd party DAWS.

Currently, if a plugin wasn’t found on the system, there seems to be no indicator in the instrument list that it actually is a non working instrument slot. What about using an additional icon for not loaded/incomplete instruments? For example, instead of that chain symbol, it could be a symvol indicating that something really is broken a lot.

I know this might sound like a tiny detail, but I actually believe that Renoise’s workflow could be improved by a lot, simply by adding such tiny comfort stuff. Also doesn’t seem to hurt to implement, from an effort-wise perspective.

Also the not found fx plugins could be outlined in red in the mixer or something. I guess there already is such a color type in the color scheme defined. At least in my color profile, I hardly can see the not found fx plugins in the mixer view…

hi!

1. i’m triggering phrases via keymap mode from my daw, however, i have to draw a note for the whole bar if i want the bar to play back. anything less and it gets cut off. is there a way to trigger the phrase like a one shot and control when it ends using “OFF” ?

2. when using redux, how is saving handled? when i save a project in my daw and check the folders, it appears that the instruments/samples arent being saved with a project. what precautionary steps do i have to take to make sure i dont mess up the references to other projects? should i be copying and using project specific instruments?

3. when i slice a sample, its mapped across the keys - is there a way to slice a sample and have it mapped to one key and just use the slice command to sequence?

4. when i’m chopping up a break, i typically chop chunks that follow the main hits. when i slice a sample, i’m assuming that slicing is retaining the timing information. is there a way for me to remove slices, but still retain the timing information for the rest of the sample?

5. is it possible in redux to change instrument preset via program change?

Is there a way to make the Y effect deterministic - so that the RNG always seeds with the same value with begin of playback to achieve always “the same randomness” when starting the song playback?

I’m looking to gate some delays on send tracks using effect commands rather than using automation since that’s quite tedious. Surely there’s a way to do this right? Xxx Isn’t doing anything and Lxx only changes the pre-fader volume.

I’m on Arch Linux with PipeWire (including the Jack, ALSA, and PulseAudio replacement modules), and my Renoise audio driver is set to Jack. I use Easy Effects to load an automatic EQ preset for my headphones.

With Jack, Renoise doesn’t automatically connect to Easy Effects, so I have to use Helvum to manually reroute it each time I open Renoise.

Setting the driver to ALSA makes Renoise’s audio extremely slow and crackly, and I don’t think it would be worth it to figure out how to fix that just so I can workaround this little annoyance.

Does anyone know how to make Renoise automatically connect to Easy Effects?

it’s currently not possible to use the snap feature of Windows 10/11 with Renoise main window. So you cant create window groups. For my case, i cant easily dock MiniMeters App above Renoise via Windows snap shortcuts. Maybe a flag for the main window is missing or something in the window message loop.

Every time I try to load this JBridged plugin I see this in the logs:

VstPlugs: Trying to instantiate C:\Users\DotExe\VSTs\Jack Dark\Dual Trashers\Dual Trashers.dll
VstPlugs: Ignoring jBridge bootstrap dll

Then it doesn’t show up in my plugins.

As far as I can tell, Renoise seems to think my plugin is the JBridge bootstrap DLL, but it’s not… It’s a wrapped plugin.

Can’t find anyone else online with this issue… help please if you can! The plugin (Jack Dark’s Dual Trashers) is out there if you need to try it. I can send it to you if you message me, just a little hesitant to be posting a DLL and telling people to download it as my first post in case I get banned.

The plugin itself does not work well with Renoise’s builtin bridge… it crashes when I try to record. It’s a nice little distortion plugin if I can get it working.

Hi all, I’ve just bought Redux and tried installing into Cubase 13 but I’m having issues. I’m running M3 Somona 14.
I’ve followed the installation instructions but when I go into VST plug-in manager it isn’t showing, It isn’t in the blocklist section either. I’ve tried to manually add it by clicking the spanner in the bottom left corner of the plug-in manger screen, but that isn’t working either.
When I go to the correct place in finder I can see the plugin, so it is there but Cubase isn’t seeing it!
If anyone can think of a solution I would be very grateful.

Hello, I’m new to Renoise, I’m trying it out writing a song.

In my song, I:

• click on Mst track
• click track automation
• select LPB
• add a few points in envelope
• press SPACE to start playing

then Renoise deadlocks; gets completely stuck.

What drives me crazy is that I saved my song after playing with the LPB envelope. Now:

• every time I restart Renoise and reload the song, Renoise deadlocks as soon as I hit SPACE
• if I completely delete LPB envelope and hit SPACE, it STILL deadlocks
• I fortunately have an older copy of my song; it works fine; if I add an LPB envelope and hit SPACE, it deadlocks

I checked Log.txt and I see this at the end of the file:

Any chance of saving my most recent copy? It’s a few hours of extra work that I’d have to redo.

PS. I tried to reproduce by adding LPB envelope in one of the demo songs. It didn’t deadlock.
