Update Checker
Description
Update Checker is a drop-in replacement for Renoise's built-in "Check for Updates..." menu item. This Tool allows you to search for product updates from within Renoise.
The built-in check opens the Renoise Version Checker web page in your computer's default web browser. The downside of this approach is that starting the web browser can take a while. And because it doesn't look for updates automatically, you have to click on the menu item yourself.
Update Checker in contrast searches for product updates directly from within Renoise. It also has the option to automatically check for updates whenever you start Renoise, prompting you when your Renoise installation is out of date.
Note When Update Checker tries to connect to internet, your operating system may ask you to grant Renoise outbound network access.

Installation: Drop the Tool File (.xrnx) on a Renoise window to install.
