CD Audio best practice?
Sadly, my audio interface does not support 16-bit/44.1k mode; closest it comes to it is 24-Bit 48k. : /
Should i go back to my regular soundcard which does 44.1 16 bit if i’m interested in burning to CDA?
Are there any best practices for using native Renoise tools to output 16-bit 44.1k here?
If not are there any best practices for using ‘Dithering limiters’ in Renoise?
Thanks!

Working Sqlite3 library with Lua?
Does anyone know of a working version of the Sqlite3 library that works with Renoise Lua?
I haven’t been able to compile any working version yet
This is the furthest I’ve come.

New Tool: Simple Sample Beat Detector
Hello,
It’s a simple beat detector.
Searches for beats in the sample and places a marker in its place.
The main word in it has a lowpass filter so it won’t find beats in higher frequencies (hi-hat and others).
It is prone to noise so the cleaner the sample the better
It’s just another option for zero crossing, but it’s more about something else.
With long samples, of course, detection ends at the 255 marker.
It’s just a toy, use at your own risk.

No MIDI events despite detected device
Hello,
I have a serious problem with Renoise and need help. Generally, my midi keyboard (M-Audio Oxygen Pro mini) is detected by Renoise. But there are no events coming to Renoise.
I’m using Ubuntu 20.04, on the same machine I have Ardour, standalone mini monitor. And I get midi events everywhere except Renoise. What is stranger, once I had this keyboard working in Renoise, but then without changing any configuration it stopped working once I closed Renoise.
Previously I had Akai MPK 25 and did not have any issues.
Generally I’m pretty convinced that this issue is related to Renoise in some way. Because everywhere else this keyboard works.
Here is my MIDI configuration:
EDIT: Even virtual keyboard like VMPK is working correctly and I can use it with Renoise.

New Tool (1.0.0): Colugo - Creative YouTube sampler
Colugo is a Renoise tool designed to enhance your music production workflow. It automates the process of creating samples from YouTube videos based on specified keywords, allowing you to specify the number of samples, their length, and more, to streamline your creative process in Renoise.
I was inspired by this twitter post:
https://twitter.com/ColugoMusic/status/1726001266180956440
He was using Renoise as a playback device. I decided to build the script into a Renoise tool with some additional features.

Gforce sem crash
So I updated the gforce sem to version 1.6.1. , it asked me to convert my presets to the new version , I accepted etc…
Really disliked the new gui and browser and reverted back to version 1.1
Now upon loading and going to the user presets , it shows presets that are not mine , worse when clicking on these renoise gives and instant gui crash

Any Tumi bag lovers/owners over here?
Tumi has a cult following and it is much like a heritage item that you pass down to your next of kin which is something that luxury luggage is not really known for making this brand rather unique. I own 4 of Tumi bags and an umbrella as well. I just wanted to know if any other Renoiser also shares such affinity. Btw Tumi IS very popular among musicians, sports people and business travellers.

Any PhD holders or doctoral students using Renoise here?
Saying hi to everyone, long time no see.
I wanted to know if any music and computing and similar research topics have been undertaken in the past or currently by anyone over here towards their doctoral course work and thesis, and Renoise users obviously.

Just released a Hip-Hop album: Dem13 - "Rot"
I just released this album yesterday. It’s a collaboration with a mate (UCallMeSir, lead vocals and lyrics) and me doing the beats / production and additional vox. It’s all done in Renoise with a bit of live guitar here and there. Stylistically, I’m not entirely sure what to compare it to: maybe old Def Jux type vibes. My background is more in rave / breakbeat than hip-hop, so it’s kind of an outsider’s take on it I suppose.
Enjoy, hopefully!

Selling some random software licence
Have a bunch of things on Knobcloud. I’m selling software - not playing music anymore due to medical issues. Not interested in answering questions about what’s medically going on. If you see these plugin alliance plugs anywhere for less, I will price match, but tbh, I have so many medical bills that if you want to help me out any buy at this prices, that would be much appreciated. Not selling my Renoise licence, geniunely love the program, and being a part of the community

The End Of Time
I wrote these lyrics back in 2019 shortly after the suicide of my neice, did put some basic music to it but never really fnished it.
Decided it was time to finish it, so basically reworked the whole thing, including rewriting maybe half the lyrics
If you’re interested, the Guitars are Ample metal Eclipse, Bass is Kontakt classic bass (from factory library) drums are Solid Drums, there’s some violin VST in there (DSK I think I used) and the vocals are my voice lol

Adventure Kid Waveforms
I want to use the adventure kid waveforms to create chiptunes, but they aren’t tuned correctly, they are tuned to D plus 2 cents. Tuning them inside renoise doesn’t work because I can’t get precise enough. I saw some posts with people suggesting using SoX to tune the samples. What SoX command would I use to tune the samples to C?

Renoise = Judaic?
The logo on top of the page seems to refer Judaism.
I actually have researched religion, and Ja is the Deity here, and Elf the enemy. And one is a devotee with this.
If you are into Renoise, you might want to try it!
-Peace.

Setting 'LFO Dest' To 'Phrase Program' Twice Breaks Undo
Set an LFO’s Destination to: Instr. Macros - Phrase Program. Undo it then set it again. Now nothing can be undone past this point. It just says: ‘Change PlaybackMode’ was undone.

Renoise : meta Instrument Automation, VST3 & name parametr host Automation
Specifically, in Renoise, I use a VST3 instrument from Spectrasonic, Omnisphere 2. If I connect the control element of the VST3 instrument, the name of the parameter does not appear in “meta instrument automation”. Instead of the parameter name show only text “No parameter” is filled in everywhere. But the control works. Even though in the VST3 instrument the name from the listing is correct “Parameter 1 B Filt Cutoff Host Automation ID: 12”, i see only “No parameter” is displayed in “instrument automation”. I’m trying to figure out how I can edit, change the name “No parameter” to at least my name. But it fails, this name seems to be an exported value only, no editable. Can something be done about it please?
