Problems after buying Renoise full version
Yesterday I bought Renoise full version, everything was good. But today, when I turned on my pc, I can’t hear music on computer, there is a strong noise. I tried to turn computer off and I retried, it seemed ok but when I opened Renoise full version the noise reappeared. I don’t know what to do, I will try again. When I was on the demo version, I often left Renoise open, I listened to music on Youtube, no problem with sound. Is it a problem with Asio?

Sennheiser 280 pros and replacement pads
The pads on these have worn out and I will need to replace them. I’ve been looking online for the original pads but I can’t find them, only 3rd party ones (maybe because I’m based in the UK?).
If it comes down to it, which pads can you guys recommend? I want the headphones to keep the same flat response, minimal difference.
This will probably be a shot in the dark but fuck it. The ear pads are disintegrating on my ears as i type this so will need to replace them soon.

Issues running Redux on Logic Pro 10.7.7
The only work around is to load it using Logic in Rosetta mode.
Currently using Mac OS Monterey but I’ve ran into the same issue using Mac OS Ventura as well. Seems to be a AU issue since it runs fine other DAWs like Reaper etc…

Use multiple instances of Renoise
Hello, I’m looking to do Live with Renoise. For this, I try to drive several instances of Renoise. I came across this tutorial that I’m sharing with you but unfortunately, I still can’t get this mode to work with a session of Renoise as a Master which controls the other sessions as a slave like the artist Hitori (-> https:// Aphex Twin - Vordhosbn (Hitori Tori drum improvisation) - YouTube). If you have any ideas, I would be very interested. Here is the tutorial I found:
"I am now able to mix several pieces of music composed with renoise. This implies that the machine used is efficient and that the sound card is too!
You must first install a virtual driver: LoopBe1
First step: open a first instance of renoise (We will call it ‘Master’) go to the ‘Midi’ preference menu and adapt the ‘Midi clock Master’
Second step: open two other instances of renoise (We will call them ‘Slave1’ and ‘Slave2’) go to the ‘Midi’ preference menu and adapt the ‘Midi clock Slave’
Third step: In the two slave instances go to the ‘Audio’ preference menu and adapt ‘Device Settings’. Attention has the latency it must be weak (not too much if not crcrcr…in the helmet and the baffles) if necessary to use the buffer harware.
Fourth step: launch the ‘play mode’ reading of the Master instance.
Voila, you can now load music tracks in the Slave1 and Slave2 instances and mix them. We can consider Slave1 and Slave2 as two decks which are synchronized by the Master clock. If you want to adjust the tempo, just go to the Master instance to adapt it (correct the BMP). Of course you can open as many Slave instances as you want… but beware of the surprise processor overload problem.
I will add to the midi mixer a tempo controller which will be sent to the Master and two pots for controlling the total volume of Slave1 and Slave2.

Is breakcore over?
Obviously l ask this loaded question with intent, but l have been thinking about what styles Renoise is used for most now. It will always be famous for smashing up breakbeats but in my work I find renoise can pretty much do anything. I had some questions for the forum
In 2023 what are we making on this program? Im making electro and house with some really dark vibes atm.
How are people working with streaming technologies now with renoise? Ive seen a couple of twitch users but l think it would be cool to connect that way. Im looking into setting that up.
Also - as someone who is just getting into this forum again for tips and info I want to say what an amazing mine of information it is.
Freda.

'liminal moments' EP made in Renoise
Here’s a new EP, self-released, arranged in Renoise. External sound-source this time, only sound-source used.
@taktik Here’s another call for granular and FM to be included in Renoise, because I don’t want to use Reaper to arrange further parts for these tracks. I imagine the ways I could add to the sound right here in Renoise - since it’s ambient and the subject is “liminal moments”, these types of effects would fit right in to accentuate the tracks.

Beatsyncing drum breaks at high bpms (200+)
For the breakcore producers, when working at a high bpm how do you manage the timing of your drum breaks?
Beatsyncing my breaks at a high bpm makes them too high pitched. If i don’t beatsync them, there will sometimes be silence before the next hit, which is not something I always want.
Please let me know how you guy’s approach this. Been using Renoise for a couple of years now, yet i still haven’t been able to figure it out

Local and Global Effect commands
When I reach a particular step, I want to jump back to step 00 but only 25% of the time. I have tried combining ZB00 and -Y40 in various order but no matter what I try, I jump to step 00 100% of the time. Is there an order of execute rules that is available? What am I missing?

Live in Renoise in 2023
Hi,
I’m an old renoise fan, life took me away from music production for a few years, and now I’m returning I’m wondering if Renoise has made some progress in live music performance ? Any help will be appreciated.
By the way, I’m glad to return to Renoise. Best software available if you ask me ! I tried other ones in the mean time, even big money software, and still returning to Renoise, for its quality, and also for its integrity.

Is there an efficient way to swap rows or reverse selection in phrases, incl note/smp/vol/pan/dly/fx?
I’m working on some tools to build new phrases, transformed from an initial phrase, in this case, a reversed phrase.
One function I need is the ability to flip/reverse pairs of note rows (including vol/pan/etc) with their corresponding note-off rows. I manually created the screenshots below to demo.
Initially, I was trying to work with the phrase data in a table, inverting the row/col order when reading in as complete lines, and then trying to plug the data back in after swapping the note-offs and notes within the table, but this did not seem like a sane way to start things off.
I think the ideal result would be to simply reverse all column rows between the note-off and note rather than just swapping the two rows, which could be done with separate selection_in_phrase for every note, programmatically creating the selections for each pair.
(scroll up a little from here to see how phrase selections work differentl yfrom pattern selections, Renoise.Song.API.lua )
Any nudges in a sensible direction are appreciated.
Thanks!

Bug in multitap delay , does not write automation in pattern ( tap 2-3-4)
None of the controls for tap 2-3-4 are writing automation in the pattern ( right mouse button ), only tap 1 works
Regular automation lines work .

Combine two samples (in one sampler) into 1 (one) mixed waveform
So, i’m working on mixing two samples together in the sampler. I bet it’s something extremely easy and I’m just missing it.
In the attached picture, I’ve got a red circle around two drum samples in one sampler instrument. I’d like to blend these two samples together into a single sample. Can I do this in Renoise, internally? Is there a menu to do this, or a Tool?
