I’m trying to fresh install Renoise but I get a HTTP Error 500 message and later tries to install a file named rns_342_osx.tar.gz.

Is there an alternate download link??

Hello everyone,

I’ve recently been using the colundi scale (via a colundi scl file) to write music with a select number of vsts that allow alternate tuning, but would love to use this scale with Renoise instruments that have created. Has anyone successfully pulled this off? The “scl to xrni” add-on doesn’t seem to be working for me in 3.4.1

I’ve tried just about everything except manually tuning all 128 values myself. I wouldn’t want to to do that every time i make a new instrument.

Any workaround ideas?

Hello, I have made a couple of songs in Open MPT before getting Renoise recently, and I’d like to import them. I am able to open the file and the notes load properly, The VST Plugin that I used, Chipsynth SFC loads and I can use it in a new file, but within the imported files it doesn’t load the plugins but still labels them in pale text, so the notes are there but there’s no sound. Does anyone here know a mod or a feature in Renoise that carries the vsts over or do i have to load them manually? Thanks.

And while trying to control another vsti Xhip with it, trying to go through different presets from the tuqmidi seq plugin gui, Renoise suddenly disappeared crashing.

Inviting anyone interested in small 32bit VST Instruments…The criteria is that they are less than 1.111 MB in size…The second is that they have some notable feature…And third that they are a quality plug, for this I test them all in EvoBeats Sequential Vibes which is a good test of quality as crappy synthedits will not pass…There have been numerous failures of such low ilk plugs…

Special recognition is given to plugs that are SMALLER in SIZE…

Is YOURS teeny?..You will then feel at home on the thread…

I rate plugs based on a highly opinionated bias of stars from one to ten…If a plug is less than 70% of 1.111 MB it gets an extra star, If it’s less than 50% it gets TWO extra stars…

All plugs are attached so if interested ‘point and CLICK’…However all 32bit windows and could be newish or oldish, rare or common as poop…

Mainly started as a counter to senseless threads about ‘WHAT’S THE BEST VSTI?’ Well, if there are no rules or constraints then it’s rather pointless…There needs to be a constraint in order to make it stand out…Otherwise it’s like giving everyone a Game & enabling cheats for everyone…No point to that…

So come visit for the sake of BOREDOM, or perhaps CURIOSITY & I’m sure you will find yourself both spellbound & mystified maybe even to the point of being ASTONIED!

Hey all,

Hi, I added some new version of EQ Helper recently, with version 1.14. But my notebook Renoise doesn’t show the update, even though it has EQHelper 1.11 installed. What am I doing wrong here?

Hello I have been watching tutorials on Renoise. For instance the filter has changed since the previous tutorial updates to analog and digital. There is no Transient shaper plugin in my native folder. Any help? Thanks!

Hey there. I’m trying to generate samples for a hardware sampler with renoise. I’ve got this sweet sweet instrument I made in renoise, and thought I could use the “render plugin to samples” function, but apparently it works only for VST plugins.

Anyone has a trick to do the same with a regular instrument?

I used a program called Photosounder to sound map some Nordic Runes into sounds to see if that that’s what they were originally designed to convey and to hear what they sounded like. Interesting enough seeing the image that was generated by each it seems like they’d be used as a method of levitating objects, or sound cannons and whatnot.
If there’s significant interest I think I will redo the .wav files to correspond better with lower octaves and maybe do additional Nordic symbols and well as American letters as well.
The Spectrogram app by Galmiza on Google Play Store is pretty good for seeing the images.

Was on a VST4FEE or VSTUPYOU site & found Phosphor on there…So looking up

Hello,
I’m probably getting some type of ADHD (it’s not a new type of envelope), but lately I can’t stand one thing and finish it properly.
I will probably return to them gradually,
but I have to release Rezonator in the pre version and focus on something else for a while.

Resonator is my attempt to implement the Karplus-Strong algorithm
and create a simulation of string instruments.
So far, it contains the creation of individual sounds
and minimal creation of chords.

The control is rough yet but can be quickly understood.
The main one is to choose in the settings which sample you want to generate.
If only a single string or entire chord sound.

Problems only mixer no transport, see photo, I would like to do something with the bpm, someone showed an example photo but I don’t have it in my renoise and I do have a license of renoise, where can I get that transport at the mixer

Greetings Friends.

Coming back to Renoise after a long hiatus. How does everyone prefer to organize drums in instruments and apply them to tracks?

Some things I’ve considered maybe: instruments organized by sound type (kick, snare, hat, percussion, etc), just one monolithic instrument, drum machine hits on one instrument, breaks on another.

Curious, if you prefer more monolithic instruments, how do you deal with various takes of sampled drums (with different parameters set on the drum machine)?
