Hi. I’m trying to make sense of my old script Paketti and am just thinking, is there in the year 2022 a way to actually just set

so that it’s always there everywhere all over the script everywhere, regardless of whether there’s a separate sub-script being imported, or if it is called in multiple functions within the script?

There is a probably a better way to do this, but I thought it worth sharing. The track effects are a mess but it will take me a long time to clean it up.

If anyone knows better techniques regarding the LFO resetting please lemme know. I tried to tie the key tracker to a hydra and split the reset signal from that into different LFO’s but it didn’t work.

Hello. I am relatively new but experiencing hardships in the learning curve of Renoise. I’m well of in Logic and MPC territory. I’m relatively good at analog gear and layering / sequencing breaks. Logic doesn’t have the electronic music capabilities that Renoise has, neither MPC. Both have workflows that I don’t enjoy, I usually feel cooked up after a few hours of sound design compared to fleshing out full tracks when I was more of a beginner. Now that I am eager to use Renoise , I feel a lightyear away to memorize the keyboard shortcuts and new workflow. Any tips or advice? I’m not giving up but what is the barrier to breaking into this beast? Thanks!

I think it would be nice if the FX Column could have its header either renamed ( like the note column ) or be able to insert a tag under FX header, like where “play” is under the note column.

Hello,
I just can’t get this to work right.

Scenario:

1. Make a new song at 140bpm
2. Load up factory included “SM101_brk_back II soul_102bpm”
   2.a ( optional, does it even do anything when slicing? set beat sync 128bpm percussion )
3. Auto slice sample using transients ( I used 10%, tried others too )
4. Render slices to phrase, render slice options: 8lpb, no quantize ( tried other settings too )
5. Play phrase

The phrase plays really choppy compared to the waveform editor playback

Am I doing this wrong?

Edit: If I change song bpm to 102 it sounds ok. Still not “perfect” as one might expect. So I guess I need to destructively apply beatsync settings to the original SM101_brk_back II soul_102bpm. Do I have to render a pattern to a new sample in the pattern editor or is there an option I’m missing? I tried using rubberbandaid but cannot figure the settings to make it sync like beat sync. Thank you

Hi,

Got a new keyboard (Logitech) and when entering notes in record mode it will not input the notes rapidly.
It is making me press the keyboard button each time to move down the pattern?

Any suggestions how to enable the normal behaviour?

Here is a Sysex cartridge file containing only two programs ( Solid Bass & Lately Bass ) to load into Dexed / DX7

I made the Solid Bass following a tutorial and found the Lately Bass on a forum but had to use a librarian to make it into a cartridge format Dexed could import. This took way too long to find these classic sounds so I made them into their own cartridge and uploaded for the world.

Is there a way to make the softer sounds of an instrument louder and the louder sounds of an instrument softer? I tried using the Sampler section side panel for the volumes of the various samples but was hoping that there’s an easier way to do it.

Same as above but with unison thanks to zen’s trick

Adds sub and noise to drum loops using transients lp filtered for sub, hp for noise and a cool filtered delay

These are a bunch of house, techno, and electro tracks that I thought I lost a while ago. I found them in mono MP3 format, not ideal, but I’m happy to have them in any form at all. These were all made in Renoise but I lost the project files when my last laptop crapped out on me.

I don’t know if this is an issue with Renoise or Roli Studio, but I’ll put it out here because they’re not as responsive.

For both Roli Studio Player and Studio Drums, any sample triggered on line 1 of a pattern is cut short, ending after a line or two rather than the full duration of the note/sample. All other notes sound fully, but (almost) every time the pattern loops back around to the beginning, the note is cut short again.

I like to use Renoise on multiple screens, with the mixer split from the pattern editor. I noticed that, with the latest update, both windows now appear on monitor #2 only, one in front of the other, instead of opening on the screen it had been on when I shut down. I don’t know what’s causing this but would be nice for windows to stay the same as they were in the last session.

When a send device doesn’t have any target, the audio signal will not be muted. But the VU meter still shows the grey color.

I’m trying to fresh install Renoise but I get a HTTP Error 500 message and later tries to install a file named rns_342_osx.tar.gz.

Is there an alternate download link??
