Waveform Slicestop , enabled but grayed out
Thank you beforehand,
i recently bought renoise, best software ever, it works perfect.
the other day i installed scl. to xrni. tool and worked fine but now i cant desactiva the waveform slicestop, its on but grayed out, i cant click on it and CTRL+ SHIFT+ H dont work either
it may be a silly question , but i need a solution to get the tool working.

Anybody has a Protracker (Or other Amiga style tracker) skins to share?
I’ve been looking around the forums here and most of the skins are dead links by now

Native OTT-like compression
Sorry if this has been done before. I made some great parallel compression chains. These are meant to be put into sends and you use a multiband send on each bus or group track. Even values as low as -56 dB really beef up tracks without increasing any volume on the master at all. Just copy and paste and have fun! S, M and LCOMP stands for short, medium and long attack and release times.

Befor we talk about VST3
… there should be the “full” integration of VST and VST2.
What i mean is : Implementing of “Midi note routing” and “audio routing” in and out of VSTs and VSTi and to other tracks.
Why ? Many plugins like f.i. compressors, vocoders and many other type of effect plugins simply do noting without the right midi note- or audio routing into them or they have a very cut down usage.
The audio and midi routing is in fact standard in any other DAW and it should be very easy to implement with plugins like a “audio send to VST” and “midi send to VST” that can be put into an effect chain like the standard “send” that is used for “send tracks”.
Also there should be a “Audio send to sampler” so it would be possible to just record a live output of an other track even if i play it live with a midi keyboard.
The second thing i would love to have is an time strech / pitch shift that can be used in the sample editor on selected parts of a sample and as a note effect.
This would make my day…

EDM Remix: Sonic Empire
Hi,
i found my old love in tracking back and have done some research in order to learn quickly the possibilities of renoise. What a piece of amazing software!
The song was remixed and recreated completely in RENOISE. All instruments are reverse engineered and recreated. NO samples from the original song (Members of Mayday - Sonic Empire) are used at all.
The following VST Plugins are used:
- Arturia CV-V and Arturia Mini V3
- The robotic voice is mine and passed through a vocoder.
All effects and mastering are made within Renoise.

Bitwig 3.2 and Redux - keyboard shortcuts/hotkeys
New Redux user here, really great tool! I’m having trouble trying to figure a way to pass control to Redux’s keyboard shortcuts when hosted in Bitwig.
Can anybody point me in the right direction to make this happen?

Convolver woes when rendering at higher sample rate
I’ve got songs I’ve been working on at 48kHz with several convolver instances running 48k and 44.1k impulse responses, with everything sounding as intended. When I render at 96kHz or 192kHz, however, the first 2 seconds or so of the output seems to have the convolver output smashed, until it clicks into where it should be, and from that point on the output is as it should be. It’s like the rendering starts before the renderer figures out how it should resample the convolver output, and only after does it render correctly.
Here’s an xrns with example output:

I’m on a laptop most of the time (and thus limited to 48k for output/realtime rendering), so having to fire up my studio computer to run through my interface at 96k or 192k just to render a track in high quality is a bit soul-crushing.
I’ve tried all manner of render settings, sample interpolation/oversampling, etc – to no avail. Best I can tell, the problem is with the convolver’s resampling, but I don’t want to send anyone down the wrong rabbit hole.
Help?

Keyboard hotkeys don't work
Hey guys! I’m new to Renoise and approached a problem. Keyboard hotkeys aren’t working, renoise recieve notes from keyboard, but shortcuts just getting completely ignored. Even simple commands like ctrl-c ctrl-v, except F9 and probably a few more that im not knowing of yet, i’ve tried running Renoise as administartor, changed keyboard language, still nothing. While if i go to browser all hotkeys work as usual. I have the same kind of problem in Ableton. Does anyone know why the problem might have occured? How can i fix this?

Can I use sample recorder to record a line and instantly put it on track?
Hi. I’m not a new Renoise user. However, I’d like to experiment with live jam sessions, and I’ve not used the sample recorder and other live audio recording stuff that much, so this may seem a beginner question. Anyways…
I’ve figured I can use MIDI mapping to map the “go to next track” to one of my MPK Mini pads. I also mapped “Show sample recorder” and “start sample recording” to pads, so I can do these things on the fly.
My question is: is there a way of recording a “sample” (actually an entire pattern of a guitar line) and as soon as the pattern ends, instead of the sample being available as an instrument, it is automatically put on the top of the pattern at the current selected track?
This way, I could easily jam and record live sessions, and totally fake-overdub some lines together to make a live song.
Is there any way of achieving it? Is there a better way of doing this? Thanks in advance!

Keytracking Multiple Comb Filters
Alright, I’ve been able to create a pad from six (6) tuneable comb filters. Here’s the example:

I took a noise sample that I liked, lowered the volume down a lot, and have a really nice ambient noise ‘pad’ that can be tuned into chords with knobs. Great!
Now, what if I wanted to control the tuning of the entire sound?
Say I’ve got a chord going, it sounds great, but I want to drop it a 5th the next time I strike a note? How would I get all 6 tuned comb filters to pitch themselves downward simultaneously?
Is there a way to hook up a keytracker or some other device to trigger such a reaction?

Livelink for a videoplayer or a videoeditor to sync music and beats
Hello Renoise Team…over the years we love your program every day a bit more and now we never will think about it to do our works without it.
Here came our idea to build a Livelink ( such as unreal and character creator and Iclone (reallusion ) have to compose picture synced music or soundtracks or fxsoundlines for intros and image films.
It should sync to a videoplayer (mpc-player or similar ) or a videoeditor
We think it must have a function to sync the movement inside Renoise BMP-Speed to the video. If the we scroll forward or backward in the song the video also scrolls synced FW or BW. is this possible to create such a plugin?

Alter Phrase speed reproduction or arpeggio
Sorry for the noob question, Is there a way to alter phrase speed or bpm ?
Like having a song run at 90 bpm and the phrase at 120 or more.
Or… is there a simple way to create an arpeggio?
