Doofer...Link to others tracks Parameter
I have an Impact Lx 25 Keyboard, and I would like link My 3x8 bank of potentiometers to other parameters easely…
The idea is that in my template, the potentiometers are linked to doofers in the master track…
If Doofers could be linked to parameters of other tracks from mouse(in the way of “hydra” or “signal followers”),I wouldnt have to use Midi mapping anymore…
And it should be easier to monitor the mapping…

Audio Assault ReAmp
hi,
I heard that audio assault is working on a new program. No info on their website. And because I don’t have any facebook or anything like that, I contacted them directly. The answer is ReAmp.
I bought it now and I can only recommend it to the guitarists
The Linux version will be in the final release.
https://www.audioassault.mx/gm3.php
They assured me that every program or VST they create from now on will have a linux version.
I tried the windows version and I’m excited.

Lua native extension module fails to load .dll?
Hello! I’ve built a huge Renoise tool for the Akai Fire, and for performance reasons I’m trying to extend it with a native .dll module written in C++ or Rust. But I can’t get the Renoise scripting system to load a .dll file at all. I’ve tried targeting x86 (32-bit) and x64 (64-bit) architectures, tried “stdcall” and “C” calling conventions, etc. But I can’t seem to get luaopen_pyre_bridge or pyre_bridge or any such module-named function to be called. The pyre_bridge.dll file is found by require(), but I guess the .dll isn’t successfully being loaded. My other test programs are able to LoadLibrary and call test functions just fine (this is all Win10 for now). Is there something special about the Renoise Lua implementation that I need to know in order to get a native extension module to load? I’m not even doing anything with Lua yet, just trying to get a .dll function called from the Renoise tool.
An example of a tool with a native (.c, .cc, .cpp, or .rs source, .dll built) module that successfully loads would be very helpful.
package.cpath: .\?.dll;C:\Program Files\Renoise 3.2.1\?.dll;C:\Program Files\Renoise 3.2.1\loadall.dll;C:\Users\skylark\AppData\Roaming\Renoise\V3.2.1\Scripts\Libraries\?.dll;C:\Program Files\Renoise 3.2.1\Resources\Scripts\Libraries\?.dll *** error loading module 'pyre_bridge' from file '.\pyre_bridge.dll': *** The specified module could not be found. *** *** stack traceback: *** [C]: ? *** [C]: in function 'require' *** main.lua:15: in main chunk1 post - 1 participant
Dave Smith Tempest chiptune videos
So I finally got around to uploading all the videos I made of some chiptune songs I composed on the DSI Tempest. These are all from 2013. I no longer have the Tempest, unfortunately, although really I didn’t use it for much besides these chiptunes and a few songs on some albums.
Anyway, here they are. Like any real chiptune, the songs were written to be looped repeatedly, but I didn’t do that on the videos so you only get one time through and then it’s off to bed!
(This is a playlist of five songs, FYI)

Redux MidiFX output
Xfer’s LFOtool seems to be some kind of standard among producers when it comes to automatically modulating automation in DAW:s. By the looks of it, it seems pretty archaic in comparison to the Renoise meta devices.
Maybe it could be made possible to use the meta device system in Redux to output CC with an additional CC output device? I could see this becoming a better standard for MIDI modulation in the numerous DAWs that lack this kind of feature, which seem to be many of the big ones. And why not add an audio input device for sidechain support to Redux as well, making the signal follower useful in this scenario

Sample Preview ends early when transposed down
- Load a sample into the sample editor (a length of about 10 seconds for the sample is ideal)
- Transpose the sample down some amount (the bigger the transposition, the more apparent the problem will become, so do something like “-60”)
- Tap the “Enter” key to preview the sample
Expected results: The sample would play at the transposed pitch, and would playback the entirety of the sample, until the end of the waveform.
Actual results: The sample will play at the transposed pitch, but will stop after the amount of time it would take to reach the end of the waveform if it had not been transposed (for example, if the original, non-transposed sample had 10 seconds of playback time to reach the end of the sample, and the transposed version would take 60 seconds to reach the end, the sample will play at the lower pitch, but will stop after only 10 seconds)
In this first pictured scenario, the sample will play in its entirety
In this second pictured scenario, the sample will play at the transposed pitch, but will stop at about where the green play marker is at

DSSI plugin window closes upon attempting to open
Hello,
Recently, I’ve encountered a problem I’ve never encountered before. When I load a DSSI plugin, it produces sounds, but its window is nowhere to be found. Upon clicking “External Editor,” absolutely nothing happens. So, I checked the Log.txt file made in “.renoise plugin server” and it contains this:
IPP: Detected CPU type: 0x21 Graphport: Initializing Freeimage... Graphport: Initialising XThreads... Graphport: Opening XDisplay ':0.0' (configured via 'DISPLAY' env)... DssiWindow: Closing the OSC server...What I get from this is that the plugins load, but the plugin window itself simply closes upon being beckoned. How would I go about solving this?
I’m running Renoise v3.2.1 under Debian 10 “Buster” with the kxStudio repositories installed, if needed.
Thanks in advance,

Midi Drum Pattern - Is it possible to record in different tracks? [Noob]
Hey, so I am wondering if it is possible to record from midi drumpad to different tracks during one recording?
For instance having Kicks in Track 1. Snares on Track 2. Hi-hat in track 3.
Or do I have to program the drums manually by copying and pasting each drum to its respective track?
I hope this does make sense. Thank for your time.

Launchpad X with Renoise
Hello everyone!
I want to learn Renoise and I do have a Launchpad X I would like to use with RENOISE.
I do have Duplex installed and I tried Step Sequencer, but no response from Launchpad.
The only response was triggering notes that I mapped to tracks inside Renoise.
Is Automap influencing the script? I have no idea how to make it work.
I would appreciate any support and explanations.
Thank you!

Just finished another track right now
Any and all feedback is welcome, whether it be composition related, mixing, or something else is completely fine. I tried to go for more of an melodic vibe, my school doesn’t have music theory classes for students that don’t have previous knowledge. But that’s not an excuse to not try and learn, so i’ve mainly been writing stuff down and i actually printed out a pdf file of a music theory for electronic producers guide using the school’s printer before the pandemic, so i spent a lot of time reading and learning.
But never applying, so let me know what you guys think about it, i probably failed to be honest, but that’s fine, i need to actually at least make something, so that i’ll have experience and learn.
I took the alarm for Bioshock 1, and tried to make a synth out of it, it kinda sounded like the one for Da Funk, with the MS-20 filter, the one has that extra drive, at least i think that’s why it makes that sound, so i put it in the song as well. Honestly it probably wasn’t a good sound or idea, but that’s why we learn from mistakes right?
I’m probably starting to ramble now, so i’m gonna end it here, thank you for taking the time to listen, and i hope you enjoy, i look forward to discussing with you guys.

Hi! Here is a new track I made. Hope to hear what you guys think about it, because I don’t know much in the music production world. BTW if there is anyone of you who does mastering of Renoise tracks, I would be interested.

Pattern Follow isn't offsetting Latency compensation
In a recent song Renoise play two full beats before sound appears making it hard to follow the notes in the song.
Wouldn’t it make sense to have pattern follow and audio in sync?
Also I still hope that some day it will be possible to disable latency compensation when effects are bypassed especially on the mixbus.
