xStream is a tool that allows you to generate or transform existing pattern/automation data via custom code. Depending on your experience with lua scripting, you can use the tool's built-in functionality or create new scripts (models) from scratch

Main features

  • Two output modes: real-time/streaming (on-line) or offline
  • Streaming mode works across patterns, and even across pattern/block-loops
  • Offline mode can apply output to the currently selected track, or a selection in the track
  • Instant access - trigger models & presets via MIDI and keyboard mappings
  • Simple scripting - easily transform & access pattern data via the code editor
  • Sandboxed code protects you against syntax errors while the tool is running
  • Modify behavior in real-time - attach arguments to sliders, knobs etc.
  • Lock and randomize arguments - retain control, locked arguments remain unchanged
  • Convenient import & export using plain text/clipboard snippets
